Our family table

A few words from us.

We've always been the family that talks about dinner over breakfast. Recipes in this little book are the ones that have stuck around — the Sunday sauces that fed Sunday dinners for decades, the breads that show up at every holiday, the sweets that meant something good was happening.

We made La Cuccina so they're written down at last — for our kids, for their kids, for whoever wants to cook them next. Some of these recipes go back to Nonna's kitchen in Italy; some are newer additions that have earned their place at our table.

If you're cooking from this book, you're family. Make them with someone you love. Add a little salt. Taste as you go.
