Spaghetti al Pomodoro
Simple, fresh, and always better when we're all together. ♥
Serves 4 30 min pasta · weeknight · classic
Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, torn
- Grated parmesan, for serving

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the crushed tomatoes and sugar. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Toss the spaghetti with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water a splash at a time as needed.

Top with fresh basil and parmesan. Serve warm and enjoy.
